The Los Angeles Convention Center hosts a number of events and symposiums throughout the year. From exhibits on cars to food, there is always something new to be learned at an event being held at the LA Convention Center. One of their latest events is the 60th Annual meeting for the Biophysical Society. This symposium will be held from Sunday, February 28th through Wednesday, March 2nd. Registration is now open for this event.
At this annual meeting for the Biophysical Society, participants can come and learn all about the latest discoveries in the field as well as new and different methodologies that are being practiced. In addition to learning about the latest science, the symposium offers a unique opportunity to network with those in the field. Finally, the chance to meet in person also provides the chance to speak to other colleagues in the same field and bounce ideas off of eachother. This year, there will be presenters from schools such as Stanford University, Harvard University, Texas Tech University, Duke University, Columbia University, University of California - Los Angeles, Caltech, Yale University, University of Cambridge and more. Some of the topics that will be discussed during this year’s symposium include Multiscale Correlative Imaging Techniques, Chemomechanical Coupling in Immune Response, Optogenetics in Neuroscience, Multiscale Biophysics of Membranes, Emerging Techniques for the Study of Cell Mechanics, Mechanosensing and Mechanosignaling in Muscle, DNA Nanostructures for Biophysics, Computational and Experimental Approaches to Protein Design, and Synthetic Biology.
