The AFI Fest in Hollywood

The American Film Institute is once again gearing up for their annual AFI Festival, presented by Audi. Each year, the AFI Fest takes the time to celebrate some of the best international cinema from both professional and new and up and coming filmmakers. The AFI Fest takes place during the fall so you should definitely attend if you’ll be staying in one of the affordable hotels in Hollywood. This year, it will be from November 5th through the 12th. Mark your calendars for this exciting event today!

The AFI Fest is a great way to explore the latest innovations from around the world. There will be shorts as well as full feature length films. In addition, there will be films on Cinema’s Legacies such as Hitchcock, American independent films, world cinema, as well as a few films in the horror genre. There will also be a number of special screenings of highly anticipated movies that are yet to be released. Here are a few of the movies that will have special screenings at AFI Fest. Macbeth, starring Michael Fassbender as Macbeth and Marion Cotillard as Lady Macbeth. The movie is directed by Justin Kurzel. Queen of the Desert will be screened on November 6th at 9:15pm and at the Egyptian Theatre on November 11th at 3pm. Carol is a movie starring Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara. The movie is a powerful love story set in post war NYC. Directed by Todd Haynes, the movie will be screened at the Egyptian Theater on November 8th at 5pm and on November 9th at 3pm.

FREE tickets to the AFI Fest are being given away online. Please note that you need to register an account with AFI first, but then you will be given FREE tickets for movie screenings.
