Miracle Mile is a famous stretch of Wilshire Blvd that runs between Fairfax Avenue and La Brea Avenue. The stretch of area is perhaps most known for the fact that four of the most popular museums in Los Angeles are located in this area. These museums include the L.A. County Museum of Art, the Petersen Auto Museum, the La Brea Tar Pits and Museum, and the Craft and Folk Art Museum. LACMA is one of the largest art museums in the entire West Coast. If you are interested in art, this should be a must stop for you. The Petersen Automotive Museum features exhibits that showcase celebrity automobiles, cars, hot rods, motorcycles and more! If you don’t like the traditional museum experience, than the Petersen Automotive Museum is just for you. At the La Brea Tar Pits, can and explore over 1 million fossils from the Ice Age featuring Dire Wolves, Mammoths, and the legendary Saber Tooth Tiger. The Craft and Folk Art Museum offers rotating exhibits as well as film screenings, family programs, guests lectures and more. For some shopping, head over to Downtown Coral Gables where you will find a number of different shops and stores. After all the museums and shopping, you might want to stop for a bite to eat.
