When most people come to Hollywood, they want to see iconic landmarks such as the Chinese Theatre or the Walk of Fame. However, there are also many other exciting things to do in Hollywood. Here are some hidden gems in Hollywood that you should check out.

The Hollywood Museum is a four story building that holds a number of artifacts from some of the biggest celebrities and movies in Hollywood history. Here, you can see gems such as Marilyn Monroe’s million dollar dress, Hannibal Lecter’s jail cell and Rocky’s boxing gloves. With over 10,000 pieces in their collection, consider this your one stop shop of all things Hollywood. The museum is open Wednesday - Sunday from 10am - 5pm. For more information visit thehollywoodmuseum.com

If you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, head over to Ferndell Nature Museum at Griffith Park. The nature park offers a quaint getaway complete with shady walks, benches to rest and even a picnic area. This is a great location to see another side of Los Angeles. The nature museum is located at 5375 Red Oak Drive. For more information call 323.666.5046.

The trail around the Lake Hollywood Reservoir has been fully repaired for the first time in 8 years. Now is your chance to get outdoors and follow the path that will lead to beautiful Hollywood views such as the Hollywood sign and Mulholland Dam. Feel free to walk, jog, or bike along the trail, which starts at the northwest side of the Lake Hollywood Reservoir.

While Hollywood & Highland is known for being the location of the walk of fame, there are also many different dining and shopping opportunities around the area. At the Hollywood & Highland Center, you can each at The Grill on Hollywood, shop at Louis Vuitton or get a taste of the nightlife by going to OHM Nightclub or Lucky Strike Lanes.

Be sure to visit these hidden gems around Hollywood!
