Lunar New Years Celebration at Universal Studios

The Lunar New Year Celebration is almost upon us. This exciting festival is one of the most observed celebrations in Asia and this year, you can partake in the fun as well! If you haven’t figured out how you are going to ring in the year of the Monkey, consider going to Universal Studios Hollywood where they have lots in store for guests to enjoy.

From January 30th through Sunday, February 14th, the front courtyard of Universal Studios will be beautifully decorated. There will be cherry blossoms as well as red lanterns with gold trimming. On Saturday, February 13th, the park will also offer guests the opportunity to witness exciting performances from the “Five Continents Arts Troupe” who have come all the way from Shenzhen, China. While you enjoy the park, do not forget to take your picture with Curious George! What better way to start of the year of the Monkey than by taking a picture with one of the most famous monkeys around. If you stop by Transformers The Ride 3D, you can also stop for a photo opportunity with a Mandarin speaking Megatron! Throughout the park there will also be opportunities to eat delicious Asian food at various vendors.

When you purchase tickets online, as opposed to at the gate, you can save. The front gate, general admission fee is $95. When you purchase online, you can save as much as $20! Online, you can also purchase a front of the line pass, which means less time waiting in lines, and more time having fun on all of the attractions!
