Paramount Picture Studios was founded in Hollywood in 1912 and is now the only remaining major movie studio that is still located in Hollywood. Popular movies that have come from Paramount Studios include Forrest Gump, Braveheart, Ghost, The Godfather, Transformers, Interstellar, Raider of the Lost Ark and many more. When you’re in Hollywood, consider heading to Paramount Pictures and take part in their Studio Tour.  

When you attend the Paramount Picture Studios you’ll be able to explore over 100 years of Hollywood History. The Studio Tour will allow guests to go behind the scenes and take a peek behind the movie magic curtain. Along the way you’ll be able to discover the interesting history of the movie studio and visit some of the studio’s famous filming locations. These areas include the Bronson Gate, the New York Backlot, various sound stages and more. The Studio Tour is offered daily and lasts for 2 hours. Tour times are available both in the mornings and the afternoons. While walk ups are accepted, reservations made in advance are preferred. The tour is open to those 10 and over. In addition to the regular Studio Tour, there is also a VIP Tour and the After Dark Tour. The VIP Tour offers up exclusive VIP access to the archives at the Paramount Studio as well as special access on the Backlot as well as the special effects area. Along the tour, you’ll also be able to meet with real archivists as well as backlot tradesman and hear from them as they share about their craft and what their job is like. The tour also includes a private gourmet lunch or afternoon hors d’oeuvres at the STudio. VIP tours last for 4 ½ hours and are available on weekdays. Learn more about the After Dark Tour here.
