twilight concerts in santa monica

Summer nights in Los Angeles are like a dream come true. Warm evenings, strolls through streets lit by city lights, and endless opportunities for fun entertainment. One such event is the Santa Monica Twilight Concert Series. Every Thursday throughout the summer there will be a FREE concert held on the Santa Monica Pier. That’s right, a completely free concert to be enjoyed by you and your friends while the sun sets on the Pacific Ocean. Now how’s that for a summer evening while staying in West Hollywood or the surrounding areas?

This year, the Santa Monica Twilight Concert Series will take place from July 7th through September 8th. One of the great thing about the concert series is that there are a number of different genres that will be represented throughout the series from Nu Soul to Dance to Latin, there is sure to be something for everyone! The Twilight Concert Series will start off with Nu Soul artists, Mayer Hawthorne and Alina Baraz performing on July 7th. The following week, Indie rock artist, BORNS and Porches will perform. On July 21st, get your rock fix with The Psychedelic Furs and Day Wave. On the 28th, listen to some reggae beats with Protoje & The Indiggnation and Raging Fyah.

On August 11th, get into the groove with dance music from Rufus Du Sol and Marc Baker. On August 18th, listen to classic music with Mavis Staples and The Suffers. Listen to some throwback 90s alternative music on August 25th with Save Ferris, Cibo Matto, and Jake Davis. Check out some Indie-rock performances on September 1st with Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Steady Holiday. Finally, close out the concert series with some old fashioned disco on September 8th! Listen to Ohio Players and Holy Ghost! Each concert will run from 7pm - 10pm every Thursday night throughout the concert series. Don’t miss out on one of the best events of the summer!
