When you get tickets to see The Nutcracker, you will be taken on a magical adventure during this holiday season. The ballet follows the story of a young girl named Clara. She and her family are enjoying Christmas Eve and the children are playing with all their new toys. Then, Clara is given one more gift, a nutcracker whom she immediately loves. After she and the rest of the children are put to bed, she wakes in the middle of the night and decides to go and check on her beloved new toy. As she approaches the nutcracker, the clock strikes midnight and suddenly the nutcracker grows in size until it is life size. Then, Clara finds herself in the middle of a battle where the gingerbread soldiers are fighting against the Mouse King and all his mouse soldiers. After the battle, Clara meets her nutcracker who is then transformed into a handsome young prince. The two then travel to his kingdom, the Land of Sweets, which is currently being ruled by the Sugar Plum Fairy that has been ruling while the prince has been gone. When the two arrive, there is a wonderful celebration that is put on for them and they are presented with delicious candies from all around the world.

This classic holiday ballet will only be playing at the Dolby Theatre for two days only. On Saturday, December 12th and Sunday, December 13th there will be two performances; the first at 1pm and the second at 5pm. Tickets start at $35. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster.com
